What is D.P. ?

It is wrong to regard marriage as a target and proof that children have been brought up well. It would be better to encourage them not to feel necessity or social pressure to get married. Marriage is an ancient pre stone age primitive uncivilized institution unthinkingly continued by modern humans. In developed societies they do not give it the ancient coercive status so it is alright, but it is very bad to promote marriage as an achievement for the back ward Indian society in which most individuals never experience any freedom of thought or action throughout their lives. Such a people must first of all be brought to a state of freedom. Several generations later they might choose to give up some freedom for reasons like supposed joy of following tradition. Marriage is a socially approved process of possible mutual blackmail and frustration without chance of recovery. Live in is more civilized because the option to leave is always there and both sides remain equally free and there is no force of customs in it. Humans should not loose freedom without strong reasons. A society that depends on keeping people not free must be classified as uncivilized. That is the case of tradition bound Indians. They are not free and therefore uncivilized.
