Akbar Pur Barota was built by sher shah suri in the name of "Mahal Saraiy" and when the king Akbar e Azam takeover the Government back he stayed at this place during his journy lahore and he liked the water of the Mahal Saraiy and decided to supply water through cambles for his army from here and constructed a palace at this place called "AKBAR PUR BAROTA" and upto 1947 this village was a muslim village of mughal and pathans headed by a yousaf zai pathan family of Pir Khan. In 1947 this village was destroyed and mostly people were killed by indians hindus but the pathan families migrated to Pakistan after a long struggle and fight still their gravyard are there. A complete history of Akbar Pur barota was written by Mr.Muhammad Ayaz Khan the grand son of Peer khan in his book named Yaad Gaar which was written after migration for searching missing persons of his wife, son and daughters in 1947 named "khatoon" , "Ejaz Khalid" and "Khadeja"
